Recap

Wow, I haven’t posted on here in quite some time.

Since I created the wife diary blog, I have been rather active there.

I want to try and keep both blogs going, but I don’t think I actually have THAT much to say.

Which is rather quite unusual for me. LOL

Quick recap of the last few weeks:

Grandfather passed away end of December, my Gran is still in hospital, I am working full time now, and I am busy planning my 30^th birthday party.

Had a couple of ideas and still throwing a few around to see what happens.

Will hopefully know by this weekend.

I am still looking for a church here in PTA, I have yet to find one that we could possibly belong to, but there is one that is not too far from us that I want to try this weekend. Christian Revival Church, so hopefully we can go and then I shall do a review next week.

Christmas With A Difference!

Ola,

Hope life finds you well these few days before Christmas!

I havent been on in while, so much going on these last few days.
With the run up to Christmas and the uncertainty of my both Grandfather and my Grandmothers health, none of us are really in the Christmas spirit.

So in a bid to try and feel a little Christmassy, hubby and i decided to go and have a look the decorated houses.

There is one house in particular, i had heard about it and was quite keen to see it, now it is in what is referred to as a not such a great area, where the people do struggle quite a bit.  So off we go, (forgot the GPS) and got a little lost, but we found it nevertheless........

and this is what i saw

My initial reaction was, this is insane, who actually does this, and then i went inside..... and saw why!

These people help to raise funds so that the disadvantaged can also have a Christmas.  I read some of the letters to Santa from these kids and i cried my eyes out.

Those of us that are in a good place, do not really and truly realise what is happening in the world.

So hubby and i got ourselved involved in the project and thanks to some amazing people and their donations, we will be able to bless some people with gifts and a hearty meal (with crackers, i mean, whats sitting around the table with no crackers)!

We will hopefully be doing the drop of on Friday, so really looking forward to it!

Virgin "it hurts to be" Active

Well, i got the all clear from the doc to start using the gym, and we have been twice now and i can tell you, it hurts all over....! 

i have a wonderful friend who is a Personal Trainer and although he cant actually be here to help me he is giving me some advice and some assistance to help me reach my goal. 

He told me due to recent events, i must stay away from cardio (fantastic) and concentrate on circuit.

So i did that tonight and it was Sore with a CAPITAL S.

Do not want to feel the pain tomorrow and the day after that ***crying in advance ***

Anyway, time for a shower!

I was recently involved in a debate regarding religion and The Truth, and i find it rather disconcerting at how many different view points there are out there.

There are so many aspects out there, and its a no wonder that so many human beings are confused.

Just so that it is clear.....  I do not follow any religion, I follow the Word of God.
I have tried searching for a starting point that is common ground for all to “connect” because it happens so often that this “religion” conversation without fail will deteriorate into back and forth slander, often attacking the person more than the topic.
 
A Pastor once said:

MAKE SURE that you are in a church where the sent man has 'the Word of the Lord in his mouth".... God is speaking and you better know what He is saying..!!

Religion hides the Truth.

Santa Clause is Coming.... To Town

Soooooooooo, I put my Christmas Tree up! Yay for me!

Totally loving it!
But, it seems soooo empty and almost every branch has a decoration on it! Go Figure!
Its probably because i am NOT a tinsel person and i have been struggling to find beads in the right colour!

UNTIL YESTERDAY BABY!

As it were, i was with my cousin walking around a PTA shopping centre and we walked past, you wont believe it, PEP, and my eye caught the pink beads! so in we go and i almost fell on my back when i saw the price, R7.99 a packet, what a flippen bargain!

i just had to have them!

Brian ordered pink LED's for my tree, but the guy never placed the order with the supplier and i was getting so annoyed waiting so long, so i just got white LED's, not my favourite but its lights nevertheless.

and it does look very pretty at night when the lights are on!
