Reflections

As I speed along head first to the big three o (30), its made me a little more serious about life. So, in an effort to restore some fun into my life, in a serious kind of way, I decided to do this blog. Properly this time, i suppose it could be in order to fulfill my mild exhibitionist tendencies, I don't know.

What you will read on this blog are just some of my daily musings and reflections on my experiences in this world, as well as stories of frustrations, a bunch of unanswered questions.  Many of these reflections would be “like hello, duh, why is it that you don’t know this” for the experienced person, but most definitely I’m a tenderfoot with a lot of things and hopefully these reflections would help some other humble soul along the way.

I am many things.
I fulfill many different roles.
I partake in a variety of stories. Some of the most significant stories that characterize who I am are as a God fearing woman, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and business owner.

In practice, I am married to Brian. I live in Pretoria, South Africa. I run a small home based business call Tzario Nail Studio.

I have interests…. Sometimes in the deeper aspects of life, sometimes not, but I do have an unequivocal belief that some things could always be improved and more useful / helpful than it already is.

My motto? Fidelity to the truth!

Happy reading!

He's Finally Here....

Nathan Zachariah arrived last night 10/08/2011 at about 2 minutes before 9pm weight 3.14kg and 52cm.
He has loads of hair, and he cries so quietly.

Well Done Jamie! You did such a good job and I know you are going to be a fantastic Mother.

Wishing you all the love and happiness in the world.

Waiting Waiting Waiting!

I first head the news that my cousin Jamie went into labour this morning (10/08/2011)
Baby Nathan was only due on the 22nd of August, but seems he decided to make an early appearance.

Except….

We are all just waiting to hear when he will take his first breath of fresh air.

From what I understand, her water broke around 7ish this morning and its now 14h20! (now I know labour can be a long drawn out experience, but really now, we are an impatient bunch and cant wait to meet this little bundle)
I really hope she is ok and wish I didn’t have to be at work but instead could be with her.

Will post pictures as soon as I have some!

Much love and God Bless!

First Post – My very own blog!

Who knew!

Well everyone seems to be doing it these days, so I thought I might as well join the herd and give it a bash. I actually had one during the days when I was still planning the wedding of my dreams to my gorgeous husband, but what happened to that one is anyone’s guess. (the blog, not the wedding or the husband) ;-)

So… I’m not really sure whats supposed to be on a blog, but from what I’ve seen on other blogs, pretty much, anything goes. So to start of with, I thought I would put some faces to the names you will be hearing about in future.

Brian, my gorgeous husband. There are no words to describe how I feel about this man. The end!

My furkids, Max, Midnight, and temporarily,  until we can find homes for them, Leesah, Boston, Titan and Diesel.

My cousin and my second BFF, Jamie: who co-incidentally is at this very moment in hospital waiting to give birth to her precious baby boy Nathan Zachariah.
Funny story that one, but I’ll leave that for a later post.
 Jamie & Michelle

My dearest friend Charlene. A friend in a million. A lot of the planning of the wedding, I wouldn’t have been able to get through without her love and support.

Much love to you all xxx
